Cory, it's not a race. Let the sentences stand a moment and sink in. Often found myself going back a few seconds to pay better attention to scene or character transitions. Granted, I usually listen while doing other things and my mind is only half on the story, so maybe I'm not the best critic, but I think it's fair to say I'm in the majority of people listening to rather than reading books.
Those punctuation marks are there for a reason, use them.”
