The first sign of maturity is when you accept the fact that “Everything happens for a reason”, ‘If only’ opens the gate to shaytaan. It makes you to become miserable and may even cause you harm, which is of no use! “If a calamity befalls you, do not say, ‘If only I had done that, it would have been like that.’ Say instead, ‘Qadarullaahi wa maa shaa’a fa‘al’[It is the destiny of Allaah and He does whatever He wishes]” Narrated by Abu huraira What has happened to you, you won’t have made it happen to you.
