“I really don't know what to say about this novella. "Empty" would probably be a good word, as in virtually nothing actually happens. The book boils down to a few personality-devoid characters endlessly talking about how weird it is that a tree is floating through space. The author manages to talk for a couple hours but say absolutely nothing. Seriously, that's it. The story can be called "weak" at best. No action, no thrills, no chills. Some of this author's other books at least managed to fit in a few exciting parts, this is a total bore start to finish. The best part was when it was over, and I could quit waiting for it to get better. As with Mr. Rossi's other books, the ending is virtually nonexistant. No climax or resolution, it just randomly ends. Apparently some people thought this was spooky and creepy, and these people are probably also afraid of their own shadow.
Skip this one, there's much better ways to spend a couple hours, like watching a pot of water boil, or perhaps observe the finer points of drying paint. Or listen to AM radio static.”
