Strangely wonderful
Early episodes are uneven, but if you dive in and go with it, the payoff is pretty satisfying. They’ve had ten years to create something weirdly engaging, and I look forward to each installment - don’t even mind waiting between episodes. Fair warning, the critiques are accurate: — Distracting, random and constant footsteps; — Initially, uneven sound production (gets much better); — A few (early) confusing subplots; — Music or sound effects occasionally - and ineffectively - used as plot devices... BUT - I like it. I like it a LOT. Even once I recognized where the (familiar) plot was going, I still liked it. I also came to care about the characters. The only painful exception: “Melissa’s” voice is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard. Ugh.

The trailers sounded really cool, but then the first few episodes didn't live up to the promise. Might try again after I've finished some other new audio dramasRead full review »

Everything about this podcast is exceptional in every way. I've just caught up to the most current episode and I'm going to start the series over at the beginning. The depth and breadth of the Edict universe is amazing and demands a second listening.Read full review »
