Stanislaw, can you help me?
This is one of my go-to podcasts. It’s interesting, informative and I enjoy hearing Stanislaw’s take on the books he reads. As a college tutor in the UK, I am struggling to get less able students through their English GCSE. The government states that students who received a 2 or 3 in their English exam at school have to keep resitting it until they pass or leave college. This is soul destroying for them (and me) as they are operating at a below average level. (You need to be operating at a grade 6 to properly understand the course materials!) The best I can hope for, is for them to scrape a level 4. Across the college, stats show that only 1 in 5 manage this and I don’t think this result is worth the stress and anxiety involved for the students. Any tips would be really appreciated!

More reviews of Education Bookcast
I find this podcast very valuable, since it not only presents and discusses theory that can enhance your view of life and learning, but I also think that Staś keeps a critical view of the books in a scientific manner. Which isn’t very common in a world full of self help methods.

It’s made even better when it’s sped up to 1.5x to 2.0x. Stan is very smart and his summaries are great but he’s quite slow in delivery. I also completely disagree with his thoughts on ADHD but regardless, this podcast is utterly packed with nuggets of wisdom. I truly appreciate the time it would...Read full review »
