Good effort, but lots of errors
I’m no Lore expert and I’ve only listened to the recent ep about Souls, but there are just a bunch of mistakes that you don’t even need to do that much research to prove wrong. White souls and black souls for example, he’s right that the distinction is arbitrary, but Robot said it’s based on the gem, when in fact you can find a memo in game written by Vanus stating that the Guild would only teach SPELLS, that only capture “white” souls. There’s also another book that talks about how Nirn itself creates “paragons” to protect itself, and that these paragons retain their sense of self it transformed into a Soul Shriven. On that note, “ShrIven”? Really? Molag Bal himself pronounces it as “shriven”.

Tom’s love of the Elder Scrolls and his desire to learn and tell it’s sprawling lore is thankless, ambitious, and quite frankly amazing. I look forward to each and every episode as he delves into the stories and myths from this modern high fantasy epic.

Robots/Tom does a great job of condensing expansive and difficult topics into bite size portions of information. I’m sad that Ive discovered this...Read full review »
