“Your take is flawed. Why would price of non-gmo corn increase when you can get higher yields and have less dollars per acre of input ? In the US it’s about 2 million acres of non GMO corn to fulfil the Mexican need. Which we already produce.
It’s not all doom and gloom as the people are saying. We are already producing it. And why wouldn’t we want it? Glyphosate doesn’t even work anymore. Why would the farmer pay 2X for their seed for the traits, when the traits don’t produce the results or yield that farmers hope for when conventional corn hybrids will produce the same or better yields and will not do the damage to the earth that the glyphosate does. Large scale farmers can still farm in a regenerative manner. It’s all about education in switching back to conventional corn.”
