Description
On September 16, 1810 - Mexican Independence from Spain became Fiestas Patrias (Patriotic Festival), a patriotic holiday in Mexico, much like the 4th of July. Fiestas Patrias is also known as The Grito, or “The Cry”, and is widely celebrated all over Mexico today. Today, thousands of people attend annual Fiestas Patrias events in cities across the United States.
Fiestas Patrias is a first of its kind event FESTIVAL happening on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at the Pioneers Museum. We're anticipating a large turnout of over 20,000 attendees!
This one-day family festival will take place in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, bringing people from diverse Hispanic origins to create a cultural fusion! This full-day event will host live music, car show, dancing, vendor booths, cultural food, and a full day of entertainment.
This special event will also help to generate revenue from rural areas and the rest of Southern Colorado.
