Description
My absentee ballot arrived on Friday, the day the world lost a brave and brilliant fighter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
So much of what RBG fought for her entire life paved the way for all of us women to use our gifts, voices and minds to change the world. It would be amiss not to recognize the giant steps towards empowerment that she took in her life.
2020 has been a show and there's likely much to mourn as people miss their former lives before the pandemic took the world by storm. It's easy to want to turn it all off, to ignore the conflicts that have arisen and look the other way.
As a woman and a mother, I can't be silent on the issues of injustice and inequality. Nor can I sit back and not say anything about politics and the election coming up.
As RGB said, "I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability." This is not the time to be silent.
Speak up. Use your mind, use your voice, use your gifts. Let her memory be a revolution. Go vote.
Episode 28 is a challenge to do all of the above. Show empathy and put yourself in the shows of the hurting and those in need, vote as if your family depends on it.
