Hard to find the narrative
After the first 2 episodes, for a GenXer who was at a mainline church at the time and who read Brian, Tony, and Rob Bell but who wasn’t connected to the movement’s inner circle, the overall story is hard to track. The amount of name dropping makes it hard to find the narrative of the emergent church movement. I hope future episodes focus more on threading together and fleshing out the actual big ideas that shaped the movement and the narrative of what unfolded. Less of impressing people with who was at what events and pumping up how cool everyone and everything was (without the why), and more story please.
