Layoffs continue to hit the Bay Area hard, with Intel, Intuit and Nerd Wallet among the companies announcing job cuts over the past month. When companies let workers go, some pay severance. But Bloomberg took a look at the full cost of those layoffs, and found they extend way beyond those payments.
