“This is so good. I feel I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time and it makes me feel that schools will really value it (god, wish I’d been taught this at school) but, more importantly, older generations (I’m 70) and the whole of the current Conservative administration, the Daily Mail and all the others who persist in believing in British exceptionalism and in the basic generosity of the British Empire. Absolutely imperative listening. And totally engaging and absorbing, too.”
