It has transformed the way I think about empire. Surely history that forces us to confront the darkest aspects of our country’s past and re-examine the comfortable stories we tell ourselves can only bring us closer to the truth, and challenge us to seek a deeper justice in our politics today? So much of it is so profoundly relevant now. Just intrigued and captivated by it all from a more neutral historical perspective too. Fabulous!”
