“I would add one thing: In the flashback when Andre was a child he was a just as musically gifted as his father, they were singing spontaneously back and forth. I believe the show is also making a commentary on the over medication of Black boys. Here was a young boy whose mother was LITERALLY taken from him. I am sure he acted out and the school’s solution was medication. I argue that the prolonged medication suppressed his musical genius. However musical genius and mathematical genius can be two side of the same coin. So I am not surprised that he went on the business school and is now the CFO. This show LITERALLY has so many layers.”
