Is the future for an AI to generate all the code that is written?  Is developer, or tester, still a profession worth educating for?  Gregory Gay, associate professor and researcher within AI at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg, answers these and other questions. His research focuses on search-based software engineering and automated software testing and analysis. He blends optimization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to help developers deliver those systems in a safe, secure, and efficient manner.
