Could’ve been ....
This could have been a decent addition to the zombie apocalypse genre, but it missed the mark. A thoroughly unlikeable main character, significant mistakes in small detail detracting from the story, and narrative that provides back-story within two sentences of dialogue that does the same thing. There were lots of missed opportunities to add color and depth. I’d hoped for character development to make up for rough spots in the rest of the story. Disappointing. The only character of interest is the one who has no motivation for embarking on a cross-country trip through alien-infected lands. There are hints in season two that it may be a romantic interest in the heroine, but he spends too much time following her around before questioning her decisions, after the fact. I’ll keep binge-listening — mostly in hopes the zombies will eat the heroine and the hero will find true love with a more likable human.

The acting is bad save for a couple characters. It sounds like they are reading from a script and not acting. The weird music...Read full review »
