There is no time travel in this one so far.
It’s a serialized radio play featuring a (mostly) original cast of characters with an entirely new setting. It’s all the stuff people say they want from new Trek but lack the guramba to do. It’s several episodes in and already showing tons of promise with great writing, unique non-human characters and a voice cast that’s several orders of magnitude better than what you’d get from your standard fan production. The first episode runs a bit long and proves that infinite lampshading is possible in a post-scarcity society, but there’s still plenty to love. A later episode is likely the best fictional depiction on depression I’ve seen/heard in years. Looking forward to more. Bravo, guys.

More reviews of Endeavor
I can’t tell you what this show means to me as a Trek lover. It touches on all the things I love about Trek while also addressing issues that the franchise has struggled with over the years. It has the courage to interrogate its source material while also being funny, creative, and touching.

Thought provoking. Good character development.

It starts off slow and the dialogue can be drawn out, but like they say about any Star Trek, give it a few seasons (or in this case) episodes, and it will get really good. The triumvirate of Naomi, Dal, and Cutch play off each other and I’ve grown to really enjoy listening to them.
