I enjoy this podcast and the hosts
But (were you waiting for a but?) the latest episode on 15-minute cities didn’t acknowledge the people who commute to cities for work out of necessity. In many places, driving more than 15 minutes is a simple math solution to the relative excess of occupations in areas with more housing/more expensive housing compared to rural or suburban areas. Zoning changes and support for small businesses have to come first. Radical or ‘futurist’ thought experiments (beautiful as they may be) are valuable only as such unless we solve the immediate causes imo

I enjoy the stories and topics but the hosts are too corny and make it difficult to listen at times. Less puns and bad jokes plz.

I am so glad WBUR is making this podcast! It is fascinating and unexpected in the best way. I grew up in Boston so I have a soft spot for WBUR. This podcast reminds me how much I cherish and love the thinkers and writers that make up Boston public radio!
