“Couldn’t finish the episode where they reviewed Shadow and Bone Season 2 Episode 1. I understand that one of them is a fan of the books, but it’s 2023, how do they not realize by now that a TV/movie adaptation will never be like the books; some things don’t translate well and they’re trying to reach a bigger audience. Also, as a POC, their opinions come off very problematic, almost racist actually, and I have an inkling they’re both white. So if you’re one of those people, the “bUt tHe BoOks wErE bEtTeR” types and lack melanin, this podcast is for you.”
