“I like the concept - voice actors reading sci fi short stories - but I just can’t enjoy it with all the hamfisted political innuendo. Maybe the fault lies with the sci fi community itself, who keep writing about the evils of capitalism and white people, but either way, I just couldn’t stomach more than a few episodes.
There’s definitely room for politics in science fiction (as anybody who read the Strugatzky brothers will tell you), but there’s a vast gulf between mocking established tenets of an oppressive communist society and having your characters whine about the perceived evils of the most prosperous civilization in history. It’s simply jarring. AND I’M NOT EVEN AMERICAN”
