“Lately, it seems like every story has been told by a woman who totally over-acts. I like a narrator who delivers a story without interpreting the content. Because when they add too much inflection, It destroys any reason for me to use my imagination, and robs my ability to visualize the action. At first, I was thrilled to enjoy the inclusion of so many talented women, but now it’s swung too far and is excluding local voice actors who have worked so hard to have, ummm, work. When the pendulum swings too far in one direction, It has no choice but to swing the other way. Please escape pod editors, please put some balance back into this podcast!”

“I found this by accident after exhausting my wallett on audiobooks. I find the short SF stories to be 95% entertaining and 5% intriqing. The podcasts are also just the right size for my commutes or walking the dog, varying anywhere from 35 min upto 1n hour. The host gives a quick witty...”Read full review »
