Interesting concept, execution could use some work
Escaping Denver is a found footage podcast , starting two people who are stuck in the maze under Denver Airport, put together by an unnamed narrator. It was this take on the DIA conspiracy theories that got my attention. The biggest issue I have with this podcast is the role of the narrator. The creators of the podcast are clearly going after a House of Leaves, Johnny The Narrator vibe, and, so far, it seems to hurt the overall impact of the show. Found footage is always a little unbelievable, but the narrator’s frequent interruptions don’t really clarify, but rather just draws attention to the unbelievable nature of what is going on. Also, there are a few cool subtle facts that the characters have dropped that were undercut by the narrator’s spelling them out. On top of that, the Narrator should have listened to everything to edit things down, so wouldn’t he just be pretending to not know what is going to happen?

Well crafted tale that hooks you in with all the mysterious discoveries and the unanswered questions about the protagonist. Each episode has me thinking and trying to put together all the clues from Noah, Sarah and the Narrator who compiles it all together.

Totally amazing! Kept me captivated throughout every episode. I cannot wait for season 2! Keep up the good work. Thought it polite to mention I heard about “Escaping Denver” from the “Talk is Jericho” podcast.
