Typical BBC approach to Eurovision
I listened in the vague hope that the BBC have learned that their dismissive attitude towards Eurovision may have improved as the contest has evolved so much in the last decade... But no, we still get the same jibes about how it’s a crappy joke event that’s not to be taken seriously. Ana Matronic’s jibes in episode 7 about how the indigenous Sami language of Norway was just “yodelling” was particularly offensive. THIS is why the UK do so badly at Eurovision. Either take it seriously or please relinquish the UK rights to the contest over to a channel that will.
