“Ugh, they lost me when they said an option for Marie Antoinette would be to run from her marriage bed, but it would be difficult in a hoop skirt. This was after they said that while some parts were dramatized, it was all based on facts. Hoop skirts didn’t come about until the 19th century. So actually, the podcast isn’t based on facts. It’s frothy silly “history”. If you want a podcast about actual history- this isn’t it. If you want to listen to some girls fab about super cute events with a bit of historical context, go for it. Just don’t repeat what you hear or you’ll be made a fool.”
