This makes me so happy!
The sheer joy that Jo exudes while listening to the (what might otherwise be mundane) details of a friend’s day just makes me so happy! I love Jo’s rapt interest in her guest’s /(friend’s) stories. It’s a really nice way to take a break from the monotony of real life to tune in to hear Jo’s laugh. Probably because the human experience is so relatable it’s easy to imagine the podcast as a conversation I might have with a friend. I also love how she thoroughly enjoys her guests experiences but is very clear that their joys are not the way she might enjoy life. Every story is like an epiphany from Jo.

The Claire Saffitz episode was so pure and enjoyable, she should definitely be on more. I truly could’ve listened to them talk for 3 hours.
