Melia studied in Abu Dhabi and learned of Orthodoxy from Matt (a history buff and convert from California) while in New York City. Baptized in Tbilisi, Georgia, Melia works in cybersecurity and decorates her church through flower-arranging. Matt works as a paralegal and sings in the church choir.
