“... that future episodes are NOT about negative, unproductive views about aging. I’m not denying that these feelings and tropes exist. But, focusing on these thoughts are shallow, predictable, low-brow, and tired.
The thing about aging is that (if you’re lucky) it happens to everyone at exactly the same rate. How you feel about it is up to you and what you focus on and what you project is within your power. You won’t get any time back ... everyday that passes is one less you have to experience. I’m 66 and have no time to grieve not being “hot” anymore. I am grateful for every day I have to make and take in art, love my family and friends, feel the air and sun, and roll through the challenges of the day. I don’t feel invisible. And why would anyone care what people passing them on the street (or at a spin class or cafe) think anyway.
Take your power and energy and own it and project it and stop dwelling on what you don’t have.
