“When I found this podcast on Instagram, I was compelled first by the title. bell hooks writes in “all about love” that most women state they’d like to know what their man is thinking and what’s in their heart, but once men ACTUALLY voice how they feel, women quickly wish men would shut up. Since reading that, I’ve opened up space in my heart to hear black men, truthfully, when they speak and to not pass judgment. A podcast like this allows me deeper access to listen to black men in a states where they feel safe enough to share. I’m grateful for this podcast as a women to hear more of what is on the mind of black men and how I can contribute to the growth and solace of their minds.
