“I love this show and have listened loyally for years (subscribed probably 8-7 years ago). Gass was one of the most entertaining and insightful contributors. It sounds like MLS thought he needed to be fired.
I’ve fired a ton of people in my career and have experienced difficult management decisions. From an audience member’s perspective, a person who provides a high level of entertainment and keeps me listening seems invaluable. I would never fire someone who my clients love. I would never deal with a company who lets go of some of their most valuable contributors - it’s a sign of incredible mismanagement and disconnect with audience.
Im not making money from MLS, I’m just looking for interesting insights and some witty jokes. Unless I hear that Gass is about to be indicted for a felony in the next few years, I will conclude that MLS has prioritized politics over entertaining product. I cannot forgive an organization petty enough to prioritize politics over producing the best work product.
Unsubscribed with sadness.”
