How the mighty have fallen
Been listening to the show for well over a decade, back when it was the only option. It used to be the best podcast covering the MLS, hands down. You had a perfect trio, Wiebe the literal perfect host. Professional and knowledgeable. Gass, the fun uncle who makes everyone laugh and who’s enthusiasm is contagious. And Doyle, who’s hyper focused and straight to the point with incredibly useful knowledge that he can communicate effectively. Then a couple years ago, something changed. A new host was added, to bring in a certain demographic I’m sure. However, they openly admitted they didn’t follow the league prior to being hired by Apple and they were clearly WAY out of their depth on the podcast. Fortunately, an act of self sabotage ended that disaster. Next, someone thought, “Hey we have a perfect trio. Let’s nix it, no one needs the fun loving contagious energy uncle. You know, the guy who perfectly balances out the hyper focus of the other host. Instead, let’s hear from the players and coaches themselves. Because people want more dribble where players talk for half and hour, but don’t actually say anything at all!” I used to look forward to this podcast. I literally would refresh constantly waiting for the episode to drop. But despite Wiebe’s Herculean efforts, he’s flying a plane that’s missing half a wing. Whoever is making the decisions for the past year and change is actively trying to sabotage the show. I refuse to believe ineptitude at this kind of a level truly exists, but maybe I’m wrong. Regardless, this should be studied. How you take a podcast that’s an institution, drag it out into the middle of the street, and beat it mercilessly. And if that’s not enough, you decide to urinate on what’s left of the crumpled body. Leaving everyone who’s watching on in horror to wonder, will they stop at that or will they have the urge to defecate on it as well. So, Wiebe and Doyle. Keep it up, you’re doing amazing work considering what you’re being given. The listeners know it and we stand behind you. Your early week show together is the only thing keeping me listening. And to the person(s) who have taken what was literally, for a decade my favorite thing, and literally ruined it. I hope that you get diarrhea on all of your vacations, that airlines always lose your luggage, and that both sides of your pillow are always warm. That you hit every single red light, that you constantly have the feeling of needing to sneeze but can’t, and that the audio is always out of sync with what you’re watching.

Love the podcast. Great to have one specifically for MLS and US soccer that doesn't focus on the Eurosnobs in this country...FYI, Simon is a joke!Read full review »

The best soccer podcast out there, it covers MLS and USMNT news. The four hosts have a fun comraderie, and each brings a different personality and take on the game. Although the audio level is sometimes inconsistent and guests on cell phones can be hard to understand, it's still technically...Read full review »

This is the best soccer podcast available. The guys usually -or at least try to - cover all of the MLS teams in every show. I especially like the interviews done via telephone, guests being coaches, players and soccer personalities. I highly recommend it.
