Description
In this episode of our podcast Eyeway Conversations, we will seek inspiration from the journey of Golden Shine Trust which is shattering barriers in the world of music education. Founded by Chetna and Ankur Gupta, the passionate co-founders who themselves faced hurdles in finding quality and affordable music teachers, Golden Shine Trust provides free, high-quality music training to individuals with disabilities. Join host George Abraham as he interviews Chetna and Ankur Gupta, the inspiring co-founders.
Established in 2018, Golden Shine Trust offers free music training in various genres, including Hindustani vocals, Western classical instruments (piano, guitar, drums), and even traditional Indian instruments like flute and percussion. They've meticulously crafted a curriculum specifically tailored to cater to the needs of students with disabilities. The dedication of Golden Shine Trust goes beyond the classroom. They actively connect their students with professional opportunities, helping them find work as music teachers, recording artists, performers, and more. One such success story is Sugreev, a student from a tribal community who, thanks to the Golden Shine Trust's guidance, is now a professional musician. Chetna and Ankur's love for music goes beyond their roles as founders. Listeners are treated to a heartwarming story of how their paths crossed at a musical performance in 2014, a testament to the unifying power of music.
