Aphrodite Jones
Love the podcast, but having Aphrodite Jones on was a huge mistake. She made a few really gross comments that I just can’t get past. Her talking about how she didn’t care that the other author was working with Shanda’s family because “So? I’m writing about the girls.” She implied that Shanda was the lesser element of the case and her murderers were more important. The victim should always be central to the case. It’s about THEM, after all, or that’s the way it should be. Also her comment about “Don’t tell a man you’ve been hit, because then they will hit you” was extremely sexist and disgusting. Sexism works both ways, and it’s just as wrong to generalize men the way women are generalized

These 2 definitely take you by hand through their journey and you don’t miss a moment of it. They captivate you and make you feel as if you’re there but whilst holding your hand the whole way. It’s personable, it’s raw but it’s real. Love it!
