Unsure of goal
I know the premise is this is good journalism and a story that “needs to be told”… but I found that the amount of repetition was frustrating and probably added at least 20-40 minutes the the entire podcast that was unneeded. I also think a lot of the thoughts shared as “strange” etc. about how the church runs are incorrect because the vast majority of churches today run that way. From tithes being around 10% to the breakdown of music and worship, almost every contemporary Christian church operates that way. As far as the allegations go, a lot of it comes from “sources” and emails with no address, so I struggle to see the validity here. And it’s incredibly one sided with no efforts to gather more information from the actual people involved. Excited for the FX series in May to clear some of this up for us!
