Makes a few good points, but…
Makes a few good points, but … I’ve felt like I was a bit hasty in my review of this podcast initially, so I decided to edit this and rethink what I wrote after listening to all the episodes. Sure, there are some production problems such as music not actually being from Hillsong and the host sounding more like a Triple J Hack reporter, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but does tell you what kind of audience it is trying to attract. Overall I found the content compelling and the true to life accounts distressing and disappointing in how the church refuses to respond, as they normally do which is just to ignore because they are too ‘afraid’ at how their answers might be misconstrued. Having said that, saying nothing like the church is doing now is just as bad, so I would hope they would at least respond in some way even via a media release once this podcast is finished, even though they end up being vague and unsatisfying most of the time.

More reviews of Faith on Trial: Hillsong
Not great journalism here. A half baked and sensational attempt at finding the truth that doesn’t work and reveals little beyond sweeping generalities I’m sure there are issues to learn from Hillsong… but we don’t learn them here

I really enjoyed this podcast. It’s very well researched & there are some incredibly explosive claims. Interested to see where this story goes next.
