Defying both expectations and god's will
The podcast as a medium is still emerging, but under the capable affectations of Carson Cistulli, Fangraphs Baseball is continually pushing the form to both its apex and nadir. Listening to the podcast is not unlike working out on a treadmill-- it may be an exhausting marathon during which you cover no new ground, but you emerge a healthier and improved person.

I love listening to this podcast, where the best statistical analysts(well, if you can call Hipster-Cistulli an analyst) on the web talk to actual(wow!) baseball players, and get angles that nobody else really has access or a willingness to bring attention to. I'm an avid listener & probably listen to 80% of the podcasts. But I go out of my way to listen to those with Dave Cameron, who is as well spoken as he writes. (A rare combination!) BP's "Up & In" podcast is probably more entertaining (& has better outside guests)...Read full review »
