Now I understand the history of Democracy
This podcast has opened my eyes to the current polarization between the Republican and Democratic parties. I am constantly hearing the media bashing one another, seemingly at war! They are calling each other names firing “put downs” creating horrible conflict. I think to myself, Walter Cronkite would turn over in his grave if he heard what we call modern objective news reporting. I am assaulted in chat groups because of being a democrat. The “Patriots” were convinced that I was a socialist.. even a demon. I could see the fear and paranoia in these people. I lost two of my best friends to this fanatical fear and distrust. I told the people in the chat rooms that I was a “Dumbo-crat” because I wanted to join with them! I explained to them that I believed in the United States of America. And for a republic which gives the right and freedom to all. Many of them no longer assault me now and have extended an ear to listen to me. I even made comments for the news media to read, that this approach of psychological mental warfare was not the end game. That listening to the other side of the story and joining with them by hearing their fears is the way of true democracy. But Main stream media still says over and over again,” I just don’t understand.” Now I totally understand why we have this polarization after listening to this podcast! Bravo kudos to Jon Meacham for opening the door of the past to awaken awareness and thus solutions for our future. WE MUST END THIS FOOLISH CONFLICT of mis information and sabotage. As John F. Kennedy challenged us in this podcast, we can create a true blueprint to light the way through communication and genuine listening, “If not us,who? If not now, when?” LET US THROUGH UNDERSTANDING AND COMMUNION CREATE A PERFECT UNION!! “ Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”~ John F Kennedy

Interesting listen but really to only broaden ones understanding of the lefts mind set. Extremely one sided in branding modern conservatism as racist and bigoted. Expected a more balanced narrative as there is plenty of myths pushed forward by the Democratic Party particularly lately.

You have to be kidding, you are complaining about division and you pile on more?? Democrats are no better than republicans. I guess I should forget what Obama role was in Libya or Timber Sycamore in Syria? His number of deportations or Haitian refugees? You are a socially engineered zombie. You...Read full review »

This podcast reminds me of a CBS radio program of the 1960’s, “university reports” which dealt with history and other topic in an adult fashion. Fate of Fact is even more engaging but accessible to most.
