Good stories - "scientific" support derails story
These are interesting stories and told pretty well. However, the constant break in the flow of the narrative to quote 'psychological research' to speculate on the protagonist's states of mind derail the story. It's unnecessary and interrupts the flow way too much, often stating the obvious - like how the death of a child or a lover's rejection would affect a person - with no *real* evidentiary support. If this is an academic podcast it needs to be more rigorous - and I don't think that's what the narrators are aiming for - better just allow yourself the license to speculate and tell the narratives which are compelling. If you are introducing some really unusual ideas it might work but several times an episode...? The voices of the 2 women are complementary contrasting the different themes of the narrative.
