Textiles and history - my favs!
I love these podcasts! They are well done and cover incredibly interesting stories about how yarn and women’s craft have changed history (in the episode about WWII socks) or tell us something about forgotten history (in the episodes about Gunnister man and the Donner party doll). The episode about solving crime based on knitting was also a treat. Other podcasts I have listened to have been too chatty. These are more like a well written NPR story. The only thing bad about the podcast is that there are not unlimited episodes to listen to!

I love this podcast because it not only showcases knitting, weaving, crochet and all other fibrework, it uncovers the history of items found, the place fibre work has in our human history and significance of the work and its place in time. Love, love, love.

A must if you love...Read full review »
