A quick recording made on the 4th of July, triple-tracked on a Zoom H4n. I learned this version mostly from the playing of the Canote brothers.

Love this tune, just got the new purchase out of the shipping box, strung it up with what I had and this is how it sounds.

A syrupy twin fiddle version of Blackberry Waltz, a tune I got from Fred Stoneking. Apparently it was written and recorded in the 30's by Nonnie Presson and the Perry County Music Makers. Pretty tune! Twin fiddles by Nick Bachman.

A tune from West Virginia fiddler Burl Hammons. From a late night Clifftop 2016 session with Rhys Jones and Tashina Clarridge, fiddles; Brendan Doyle, banjo; Erica Weiss, guitar; Simon Chrisman, bass. Recorded by Keith Stubbs. The recording starts out with a slow preview of the A part, followed by a few comments about the tune, before launching into the tune itself - typical of live festival session recordings!

'Heard this tune for the first time at local jam by a fine fiddler, who learned it from Geoff Seitz. Here's my go at it, playing it slowly after listening to the IllMoBoys.

I play this in G with the fiddle cross-tuned GDgd.
I first learned to play this from a live recording of Alan Jabbour and Bertram Levy. They are pretty much the same melody. http://dla.acaweb.org/cdm/singleitem/collection/Warren/id/1894/rec/1
...but, like so many other tunes I learned first, when I moved to Memphis and played what I knew with the locals – I learned that there is another version.
And I looked to find a recording of the other version that I wanted to learn. I really don't...

I play this in D with the fiddle cross-tuned ADae.
I learned this from a a lot of different recordings. But I guess the one that had the most influence was from a CD by Lydia, Emily, and Claude Martin called “Ten Thousand Miles”. I like the they way she plays the A part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc8STrfr69o
