This week I had the opportunity to chat with Patrick Barr, also known as Tiger Hood, a street photographer and golf enthusiast who has become a local legend in NYC for bringing golf to the streets. But Tiger Hood's story goes beyond just street golf - he's on a mission to spread the game of golf to youth in new communities all across the country, and he's raising money for a van that he can drive around to make it happen. But that's not all - Tiger Hood is also passionate about spreading the vote and engaging with politicians.
Over the past decade, Tiger Hood has gained recognition from major news outlets and even caught the attention of celebrities like Will Smith, Post Malone, and Ed Sheeran. But his true passion lies in photography, and his archive consists of thousands of mesmerizing film photographs of NYC from the 1990s to 2000s, capturing a time and place that he predicted would disappear in the years to come. Through his lens, Tiger Hood has preserved a piece of history.
In this episode, we'll dive into Tiger Hood's journey from street golf to street photography, and how his love for both has intersected. Please check out the below documentary filmed by New York Nico. I have also linked his contact information below:
