A former 5-star show drifting into mediocrity
This used to be a must-listen, but in 2020-21 it has become bland schedule padding for Radio 4. Such a shame. It has lost its way: from the weird new logo reminiscent of Greece’s Golden Dawn neo-Nazis—red, white, & black colours and a maze pattern from which you can assemble at least five swastikas —to reporting that lacks cutting edge. Too much of this show’s output feels shallow, delivering nothing that you couldn’t hear or read elsewhere. Good investigations require investment of time and money and I suspect both are lacking. I really hope things change and it can be restored to its place as a beacon of investigative reporting. .

Excellently researched and produced documentaries from Radio 4. These are thought-provoking and always worth listening to.
