Revelatory when not basic
As a women with autoimmune issues, the very last thing I want to do is listen to two LA performers gripe about whether they’re an apple or a pear body shape, with all its perfunctory self shaming and body surveillance. It’s boring, makes me feel awful, and is waaaay outside the scope of the podcast. Fat shaming is like some kind of verbal tick. I hope they can free themselves from the hold of wellness, self obsession, thinness, all that, and concentrate on what I’m here for— hobbies.

I am re-listening to these episodes before bed and love returning to such a simple podcast of people talking about things they love. Lesley is funny and earnest; I appreciate everything she (and Kerry) put into this podcast. If Filling the Void ever returns, I will be first in line.
