“Light and fun but not quite as insightful as IVM Pop (Has It Aged Well). I’m not sure they’ve grasped that the purpose is to watch it through 2023 lens as opposed to shrug off sexism etc because it was a decade ago. Part of the reason for listening to this show is for an older audience to reminisce and a younger audience to ‘discover’ films to watch whilst avoiding toxicity that was brushed aside in those eras.
Would also like to see a wider range of Hindi films such as Guru Dutt, Hrishikesh Mukherjee etc.
It may be worthwhile having a scoring system for today’s generation. Worth considering exposing someone who has never seen the film to them as well for a young fresh perspective esp from a gender/caste point of view”
