“I was going to recommend this podcast to my students for refreshers on the critical thinking lessons I teach. However, season 1 episode 4 she stated “God gives us our emotions”. Really?The reasoning behind that statementI is loaded with fallacious arguments.Ironic that the statement was used in the episode about issues that hinder critical thinking.People are convinced of their beliefs. Being convinced of a belief does not mean that the belief is true. Religious dogma, in many instances, have fostered cognitive dissidence and confirmation bias and has hindered critical thinking in which has resulted in bad and sometimes dangerous ideas.”
