Simply the Best on the Web
Simply put this is the very best family of podcasts on the web and its FREE! I call it a family of podcasts because if you subscribe it will provide various updates through the week with the main set of episodes on the weekend. All told there is generally about 4-6 hours of materials discussed each week WITH NO COMMERCIALS! For those trying to avoid mainstreet business media which is strongly geared towards bubblehead journalists repeating the garbage that Wallstreet salesmen spit out constantly on their TV networks as they try to gain more commissions from the uninformed, then this is for you. Topics are generally discussed in depth not in 3 minute increments. The host tries to get the full gambit of opinions for topics covered even when they differ from his. My experience in listing to the podcasts over the past 7 years has been extremely favorable. He was ranting about the subprime mess over a year before it hit mainstream media, has been one of the very first to discuss Peakoil and its ramifications, over the past year has discussed the impending food commodity inflation that he believed would pain out -- and over the past couple of months appears to be happening, etc.the list goes on and on. The show is about looking for secular trends not what I should buy tomorrow and sell next Monday. If you only have a limited amount of time to spend on investing shows and are already overloaded, I strongly urge to cut back on CNBC, Bloomberg, and that political cable channel calling itself a business channel (FOX Business). If you only have time to listen to one hour from this source a week, I recommend the first hour of the weekend programs.

That is not to say they aren't open to other points of view, and regularly invite guests who...Read full review »
