“I look forward every week to Changes! The conversations, debate, thought provides such comfort in such weird and stressful times! However today I listened to the Michael Sheen episode and was just screaming “will this man SHUT UP” Wow! He wasn’t interested in allowing Annie interview him at all, he just wanted to talk, talk, talk! He tells this story about realising as a young actor that he needed to look outwards more and not be so focused on his own art, involve others and basically he claimed to have had a realisation that the world did not revolve around him. However during this discussion he behaved like a man who was just totally focused on No.1, hadn’t changed and was barely aware he was being interviewed. Even in his apparent philanthropy and realisation of the important role he can make in campaigning against deprivation and disadvantage it was all about him! I’m afraid in the end I had to turn off.... which I find myself doing more and more these days when I listen to Podcasts where talented, clever and smart women are talked over, down and not listened to by “successful” men ...”
