Rob Fournier is the Head Coach at Wabash Valley Community College, a Junior College in Mount Carmel, Illinois.  A little background on Coach Fournier, he started his collegiate playing career at Ventura Community College from 1991-1992 and then transferred to MacMurray College, graduating in 1994.  One year after graduating he started his collegiate coaching career, spending 1995-1996 as a hitting coach and recruiting coordinator at MacMurray College.  In 1997, he was given the head coach position at Wabash Valley Community College, where he still remains.   We start off this podcast discussing how Coach Fournier, as an Ojai, California native ended up playing his collegiate baseball career in Illinois.  We than dive into his journey of getting a head coaching job at such a young age, as well as his first season with Wabash Valley.  Coach Fournier and I also talk about what he does to make Wabash Valley a consistent winner year in year out, he explains why his coaches have played such an important role in that and his take on coaching coaches.  Coach Fournier explains his hiring process, as well as what tools he uses to help himself and his fellow coaches learn and grow.  We also dive into “The Happy Moment”, Junior College Baseball 101, and multi-sport athletes.  Lock into this podcast to learn from one of the most successful JUCO Coaches, Rob Fournier.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fiob/support
