Description
Hello everyone, my name is Jacob and thank you so much for listening to my podcast. On Fireside Personality Chats, I try to bring the theory of Jungian typology more down to earth through portraits and stories, thereby making typology more relevant and applicable to the everyday person.
A frequent criticism of personality tests is that test-takers often lack the statistical self-awareness necessary to self-report accurately. But maybe personality tests shouldn't be seen as instruments meant to give an objective measurement of one's personality. In this video, I posit the possibility that we should see personality tests as tools that people can use to articulate their previously unconscious self-concept...and then overcome limitations. I also explain the potential dangers of treating a personality test result as a FACT.
I will hope that you enjoy this podcast and find it such that you feel compelled to follow, like, share, and check back for future episodes. Maybe you find it amusing, educational, insightful..... Or maybe you find my voice soothing.
