1.President Yoon Suk Yeol on Thursday departed for South America to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and Group of 20 summits. President Yoon is scheduled to first land in Lima, Peru, to participate in the APEC summit, then travel to Rio de Janeiro for the G-20 meeting. 2.Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok said Thursday the government will take active steps, if necessary, to address excessive volatility in the foreign exchange market.
