Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell on YOU’LL NEVER FIND ME

Description
Thank you for listening to The Following Films Podcast. Today, I’m joined by Directors Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell to discuss their film YOU’LL NEVER FIND ME In the Australian outback, a lonely, paranoid man, Patrick (played by Brendan Rock) gets a knock on his door during a torrential storm. He finds a woman, only known as "The Visitor" (played by Jordan Cowan, who also produces) in need of a phone to find her way home. He cautiously lets her in, which sets off a claustrophobic night of doubt, hidden motivations, and a tense, ever-shifting game of mental cat-and-mouse. All of which leads to, without spoiling anything, an explosive finale that turns the paranoia thriller format on its head! Directors Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell approached their feature debut like a challenge. Indianna, who also wrote the film, set out to see how much tension they could conjure with potentially limiting factors like a singular location and just two actors. With a small team of trusted collaborators from their previous short films, such as their remarkable cinematographer Maxx Corkindale, the duo sought to capture a brooding and anxious atmosphere a la 'Enemy' or 'It Comes At Night' while channeling the darkness and isolation that Australian filmmakers do best. The final product that subverts the dialogue-driven, chamber piece structure on its head and serves as yet another bold entry to the recent renaissance of horror down under!
